Švarc, Ondřej ; Koura, Petr (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee)
The target of this diploma thesis is the transformation of the countryside after the Second World War in the territory of the former district of Horšovský Týn, whose existence is defined in the years 1945-1960. The work, based on the study of primary sources from the State District Archive of Domažlice, located in Horšovský Týn (primarily from the ONV Horšovský Týn resource), the study of periodicals and secondary literature creates a picture of the post-war border district, which had to go through a series of revolutionary changes during its existence. The work follows the demographic development of the Horšovský Týn district, including the displacement of the German-speaking population and the subsequent settlement of the region by a new Czech population. Using the example of the memoirs of Walter Bernklau, who as a German was deported from Czechoslovakia after the Second World War, the work shows what fates the German-speaking population had to go through during the deportation and what awaited them in their new home. The second half of the work is mainly devoted to the development of agriculture in the region, the history of auxiliary cooperatives in the district of Horšovský Týn in the years 1945-1948 and the collectivization of the region after 1949. In the last chapter, the work on selected...

(in English): This bachelor's thesis is concerned with the story of a small village in the southern part of the Czech Republic, and adjacent areas, during the process of collectivization. It is a micro- historical study based in part on sources available in the Strakonice district archive and in the private archive of the ZD Trebohostice farmers' cooperative, as well as an oral history project based on interviews with contemporaries. Using the examples of several nearby socialist cooperative farms, the study records and analyzes changes in management. However, it is also concerned with the stances that the local residents assumed to the changes brought about by collectivization, as well as with the changes in their perceptions over time. While the study includes the period just before collectivization, its main focus is on the post-collectivization period and on the repercussions of collectivization. The study also considers economy, its form and the changes it underwent over the years.

Stříbrná, Anežka ; Rychlík, Jan (advisor) ; Michela, Miroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis depicts the mode and course of collectivization of the rural areas in the district of Kutná Hora in years 1948-1960. The thesis also concentrates on the individual reactions towards the collectivization, especially those of local functionaries, focusing on which means and strategies these used against the ruling power. The central question is whether, and to what extent, the functionaries could influence and shape the village life and how they influenced the local form of socialization. The objective of this thesis is to show a more vivid picture of the agricultural collectivization and, at the same time, to offer a certain typology of its participants. Apart from the comparison of the mode of collectivization in concrete villages, their example also shows the differences between the first and second (final) phase of the collectivization of the rural areas. The thesis is based...
